Is the 60 sec Length of Windows' Sound Recorder changable?

D

David F

I am using Windows 2000 Pro + SP4.
When I invoke Windows' Sound Recoder, the main dialogue window has a field
called "Length" with an associated value of 60.00 seconds.
I can't find how to change this value so that it does not limit me and I can
record any length of sound, limited only by the hard disk space.

Is it changeable at all and if so how?

Thanks

Start Sound Recorder
Click the Record button and let it run for 60 seconds
Click File | Save As and name the file BLANK.WAV
Click Edit | Insert File | select BLANK.WAV
Now your total record time will be 120 seconds.
Insert the file again, and your total time is 180 seconds.
Insert the file again, and your total time is 240 seconds.
etc.
