is powerdvd free

I guess I need a dedicated software for my DVD as Real & WMP will not play
the DVDs that they used to. When I click on their query to update the
latest codecs, they say they have them. So is Powerdvd free?

It isn't, unless it came along with your DVD-ROM player.
Try Media Player Classic. (See your other post in this group)
