Dear All,

My company's LAN contain several win2000 server. When I try to
browse
the network neighbourhood. I found serveral icon under the Microsoft
Windows Network. The icons look like three small computer connected
together. They are named ascdc1, ascdc2. When I open ascdc1, there are
many compuuter connected to it.

My question is:
(1) Are ascdc1, ascdc2 with the icon( three computer connected
together) the domain name?

(2) I got a workstation connected to Lan, it is under Ascdc1, how
to
change it to another domain( How to decide which domain
should
the workdstation belong to)

Thanks.

If you don't have multiple domains with trusts set up, these may be
workgroups.

Not necessarily - they could be workgroups. Who set this up, and can you not
ask them?

Can't answer that. Where are your servers?

This is set under Properties of My Computer (or System in the Control Panel)
in the Computer Name tab. You must have Domain Admin privelages to add your
computer to another domain.
