Install different software for different users? Another
words is there a way to log on to one user account and
install a program without it showing up in another users
account?

Yes, and it requires a bit of tweaking. If the application supports it
(most install globally), your problems are over. If not, install it under
your User ID, and then manually go into the different User Ids, and delete
it from the menu tree and the Desktop, or drill down into Documents and
Settings\All User\Start Menu where the universal items are stored.

hi Krash,

softwares for different users.

Sure there is. Many newer programs do give the option to install for just the current user, or for all users.

But usually, the only difference is if the program shortcut is placed in the current user's Start/Programs menu,
or in All Users Start/Programs menu. If installed in current user's menu only, another user can still browse to
the folder where the program is installed to and start the exe file to run the program.
