Is it possible to time stamp a field and current user?

I'm working in Jet, concurrent users won't exceed 5 generally. I think I
know how to time stamp a record, but what about a field?

The same way as you do for a record but with a separate set of fields
and on the afterupdate event of the field you want to timestamp.
