Is it possible to send and receive pdf files in outlook 2003.

I need to send pdf files. i get message that users of outlook may not be able
to receive such. Is not pdf the most excepted format for forms etc to be
emailed? what the heck is MS doing to put a restriction on something that
even in their own website acknoledges Adobe's PDF.
 
I send and receive PDF files all the time. What is the exact wording of the
message you see?
