Is it possible to protect cell formatting in an unlocked cell?

I'm using Excel 2007.

I have a worksheet with most cells locked down, but a few left open for
people to write in. In those cells I want users to be restricted to a default
font and font size.

Is it possible to leave cells unlocked, but still somehow protect the
formatting within them?

If you format the cell the way you like (font and font size), then leave the
cells unlocked and protect the sheet, doesn't that do what you want.

Be aware that copy|paste may break your formatting. But typing shouldn't.

If someone just casually types in the unlocked cell then, yes, my formatting
is preserved.

However, the person can go up to the toolbar and change the font and font
size at will. And as you say, pasting text in from elsewhere has the
potential to change the formatting too.

What I want to do is to FORCE any text in the unlocked cell to be in the
correct font and at the right size. Can that be done?
