Mr . .

Good afternoon,

I had some one ask me the other day if I could help them color code emails
that come in based on the sender's name.

I had no idea where to start. I'm thinking a rule to 'flag' a message by
sender but not sure about changing font colors.

Mr.

First of all, your version of Outlook is definitely in play here. Post it
and someone can answer.

There is no such version. Try again. Look under Help->About in Outlook.

You can apply conditional formatting to the sender's name
(Tools->Organize->Using Colors) or you can set a rule for that sender to
flag it with a particular flag (Tools->Rules and Alerts). Note that you can
rename flags if you create a flag toolbar and customize it. For information
on how to do this, see

It's called Autoformatting and is stored within a view. the easiest way to
start is to look for the Organize button on the toolbar or on the Tools
menu - then choose Using colors.
