I have the same problem --
some company called ramgo.com has imposed itself on me as
a search engine rather that MSN and others - this
ramgo.com is based in the UK and I'm in Canada!!!!
Let me know what you find out as I would like to ditch
them....don't know how how as I am very new to all of
this.

Did you install a toolbar from them? Try changing your default search
preferences in IE? To do this, click the search icon in the toolbar. When
the search column appears, click Customize in the header and use the
screens that appear to re-apply your preferences.

A quick online check for adware, spyware, hijackers and other nasties:

Also there are links on the page leading to doxdesk.com, a site well-known
for documenting various parasites.
