As a related question to my earlier one, are either of these printers
Mac OS X compatible? I currently am only able to edit pictures through
my iMac G5.

Thanks, sHELLy

According to HP's web site, the 8250 is supported with OS X v10.2.x, v10.3,
and v10.4. See:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...ocname=bpm35007&product=443024&dlc=en&lang=en

and Canon's site says ok for Mac OS X v10.2.1 to 10.4.x. See:
http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ModelTechSpecsAct&fcategoryid=117&modelid=11864

OS X not a problem.

OS 9.... there would likely be an issue with the ip6600 as i've heard
complaints about the new canons, specificly the ip4200 and os 9. If
you need canon and OS 9... you gotta go with an older model or perhaps
the current mp780. Not sure on the HP front.
