Try doing a manual download from the AVG website. I have not been able to
connect for an auto download since past Sunday. Did a download from the web
last night instead. You can download the update file into your AVG Updates
folder.
I just did an update and it worked fine. Nice and fast as normal
Are you using AVG free of AVG 6/7 (paid)?
If you are using AVG 6/7 (paid) you will be using a different server
which you should always have access to. If you don't then contact
grisoft about it as you should do, it is part of your contract with
them IIRC.
