Is a 300W MicroATX PSU enough for a new MicroATX board + 1 hard drive and 1 CD-ROM?

Is a 300W MicroATX PSU enough for a new MicroATX board + 1 hard drive
and 1 CD-ROM?

I bought this new the other day, but have since discovered that the
mobo caps are bad and I'm going to replace the mobo.

Not enough information. We need to know the CPU and the video card. But
generally, it should probably work, unless your processor and video card are
higher-end. -Dave

Sorry. CPU will be AMD Sempron 2800+ 1.6GHz 64bit

The board will be either Elite K8M800-M2, Abit KV-85, or MSI K8MM3-V.

I won't be getting an additional video/graphics card. The integrated
graphics will be all I need (e.g. S3 UniChrome Pro 2D/3D Graphics on
Elite mobo).

Haven't determined yet which make is best. Elite seems to have a
reputation for "cheap", though I have no idea whether that equates to
"nasty".

I'm a bit dubious about MSI, since it's a duff MSI 6340 board I'm
replacing. But MSI generally has a good reputation, I believe.

I don't know how the Abit brand is regarded.

Thanks for your feedback!

Price, by the way, is very similar for all three. I'm looking for a
budget solution, since I don't need power. Duff PC contains a 750 MHz
Duron, so the rebuilt PC with a 2800 Sempron will go like a bat out of
hell in comparison, even with a low-cost mobo.

In that case, 300W should work fine. -Dave
