IRR - #NUM error

I'm calculating the IRR for a string of 36 monthly cash flows. When th
IRR is above 20% the function works great. However, when the IRR i
under 20% I get a #NUM response. I've also tried consolidating the 3
monthly cash flows to 12 quarterly cash flows, generally with the sam
result.

My formula is as follows: =(1+IRR(Z137:BF137))^12-1

I know sometimes Excel gets confused when there are two possible IRR's
That can happen whrn there are multiple negative cash flows. Here yh
only negative cash flow is the first one and the rest are either 0 o
positive. Thus, I don't know if there can be two answers in tha
case.

Any thoughts on how to resolve my problem

Hi bluesband!

Post the cash flows and I'm sure we'll find out what is happening.
