Hello,
The nice zoom functionality available with Microsoft's new mice has a
serious problem: the ipont.exe that offers the functionality never
frees the memory allocated for (I suppose) the zoom's bitmap, and
REallocates it each time(!!) the zoom is actioned. On my large screen,
that makes a hefty 14 Megs allocated and never freed by ipoint.exe
EACH TIME I zoom - after a while, Gigs of RAM are consumed, and the
only way to reclaim them is to log out, or kill ipoint.exe from the
Task Manager.
Anybody knows whether Microsoft are fixing this gross memory leak in
ipoint.exe anytime soon?
Thanks,
Emanuel
