My new iPhone syncs *windows contacts* using an outdated contacts list from
WINDOWS MAIL, even though WINDOWS LIVE MAIL is my default mail program.

Should I delete the old Windows Mail program? If so, how? Or is there a
more elegant solution? Many thanks.

That would be an ITunes issue. Have you contacted Apple concerning this
problem?

Hello Hal,

Yes Sir. iPhone support told me that it links to the Windows Address Book.
The phone is syncing to my old contacts located in Program Files/Windows
Mail/wab.exe. I do not use Windows Mail anymore, just Windows Live Mail. I
would like to delete the old Windows Mail program, and would appreciate
instructions on how to accomplish this. I would also like to know the
location of the Windows Live Mail address book for future reference?

Regards,

Windows Mail is a part of Vista, and very hard to delete without also
deleting
the rest of Vista.

Windows Live Mail uses a separate contacts list, and I don't know if the
iPhone can sync to that one.

If you need more information about Windows Live Mail, such as where
it stores its contacts list, you're likely to get it faster if you ask in
newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
