when i turn on the computer, i get explorer has preformed
an illegal operation. under more details it states ipf in
module kernell32.dll @ 0167:bffc06af

please help.

This is probably Windows Explorer and not Internet Explorer.

Are you running windows ME, 98 or 95? If so then I am right.
