ipconfig and network - can't run?

I had a home network with 4 PCs (one XP Home, other Win2k). I could share
files amongst them and ping each other. The Node Type from ipconfig are all
"Hybrid". I usually get to the share folders by "run 192.168.1.1xx"

Recently, I bought two more PC. One on XP home sp2, and the other XP Pro
xp2. The XP home is fine... can ping others, can be seen by others, can
access shared folders by "run 192.168.1.1xx".

The problem is the PC with the XP Pro sp2. It can ping others, can be pinged
from others, but I cannot "run 192.168.1.1xx". It returns instantly with
error message saying something like "cannot access". However, I could go to
the network neighborhood (or my network place), and I can see and access the
shared folders on other PCs.

The NodeType of this XP Pro is "Unknown" (instead of Hybrid). Is this the
problem? How could I make it with such that I could "run 192.168.1.1xx"?

Node type "Unknown" is OK. This Microsoft Knowledge Base article
explains why it appears:

"Ipconfig /All" Command Shows the Node Type as Unknown

I'm not sure what you mean by "run 192.168.1.1xx". Do you type this
in the Start | Run box?

\\192.168.1.1xx

If not what exactly does the command look like?

What is the complete and exact text of the error message when you use
that command on the XP Pro sp2 computer?
