I recently got hit with a few trojans. It seems I've gotten rid o
them, but now I can't connect to the internet. I'm trying to use a
ethernet cable and it keeps saying that I have "Little or n
connectivity". I tried clicking the repair button but it says I hav
to renew my IP address. I tried the ipconfig /release and ipconfi
/renew thing in dos, but that doesn't work. I'd really like to connec
to the internet. Can anyone help me please? I really need my compute
for college

How did you get rid of the trojans? Did you also run other malware
removal tools? In other words, what did you do to ensure the computer
is 100% virus and spyware-free?

If you are really sure the computer is completely clean of all malware,
try running:

a) If using XP SP1 - LSPFix from here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
b) If using XP SP2 - Start>Run cmd [enter]

netsh winsock reset [enter]
