IP Adresses stored on a network PC

I had to change the IP Address range for my home
network. Each PC knows it's own computer name and new IP
address, and the router knows all the correct computer
names and IP addresses. However each PC on the network
remembers the old IP addresses for other PCs on the
network. Due to this problem, I am unable to share files
between PCs? I have run the home networking wizard
multiple times on each PC with no luck. Where in Windows
XP (and Me) does the system store the names and IP
addresses of other PCs on the network? I want to erase,
or overwrite, or something to be able to access other PCs
on the network.

Thanks,
Dan

Force each machine to re-request an IP address as follows.
Open a command prompt window and type in the command ipconfig /renew (if
this doesn't work, type in ipconfig /release followed by ipconfig /renew).

.
Thanks for the reply, but ipconfig didn't resolve the
problem. Each machine knows it's own IP address but
somhow remembers the old IP address for the other
machines.

Example: I check the IP settings on "Office" and they are
correct. I check the IP settings at "Recroom" and they
are correct. If I'm at Office and I ping the correct IP
address for Recroom (ping 10.1.100.11) I get four
straight clean responses. If I ping Recroom by computer
name (ping recroom) I see
"Pinging recroom [192.168.1.11] with 32 bytes of data"
and I get four "request timed out" messages.
Somehow, the Office PC is still associating the name
Recroom with is old IP address. I don't think it's
getting this info from the router which has the correct
names and IP addresses in it's DHCP client table. So the
question is where on Office does it remember the old
address? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dan
