WINDOWS XP Process iosdt.exe in c:
\windows\system32\iosdt\iosdt.exe.
This process runs all the time when computer is on and uses
97 - 98% of CPU. Task manager all time shows 100% CPU
usage.
In the past when computer started it used to be about 2-5%
and if computer was idle it showed the same 2-5% CPU usage.
When I suspended (disabled) this process on working
computer(using special program) Task manager shows 2-3% CPU
usage and all applications work properly.
What is this process for? Can I kill this process?
Any ideas. Thank everybody in advance

Whenever you have a question like this, the first place you want to look
is Google. Using the search term, "iosdt.exe", I get links that show me
this is a trojan horse. Since you obviously don't have an updated
antivirus program installed, you need to get one asap! Also, remove
spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from www.security.kolla.de and
Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. If you have a trojan horse, you
undoubtedly have spyware, too. Be sure to update these programs before
running them. It is best to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in
Safe Mode.

If you need more help, please post back, but you really should get the
infected computer off the Internet and any lans immediately.

Good luck,

Malke
