I keep my temporary internet files in E:\Temporary Internet Files\. My virus
check shows that I have a virus in a file with the path E:\Temporary Internet
Files\CONTENT IE5\.............\.............\. I would like to delete this
file but when I go to the folder from My Computer there are no sub folders in
E:\Temporary Interent Files\ though the folder properties says there are 9
fiolders. I have viewing of hidden files and system files enabled
Can anyone exlain how to see these invisible folders. When the virus check
runs you can see these folders being scanned but where are they. search for
Content IE5 does not give any results. Any help would be appreciated since a
nearly 70 I am begnnng to think senility is setting in.

I do not have a folder with that name listed under my user name, but have
one listed under Administrator and also under Default User accounts.
Do search for Content.IE5 and you can find where this folder is located on
your system.

as I said, a search does not show any CONTENT IE5 files.

One example of how to view content.ie5.
Start | Run "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\content.ie5"

Another example
Internet Options | settings | view files.

Easy way to get to Internet Options
Start and right click Internet Explorer, chose properties.
Start | Control Panel | Internet Options.

To correctly purge the files, Internet Options | delete files, click to
include offline content.
