Invisible Hyperlinks

The following problem is new; I've done hundreds of individual pages with
FP2002 and have never had it happen before.

In NORMAL mode, all my hyperlinks look great. In PREVIEW or Preview in
Browser, however, some of them disappear. The link is still there - if you
put the cursor over the blank space and click, you go to the correct
destination. But the text portion of the links have become invisible.

I'm not a programmer and don't know HTML, so complicated answers will
probably go over my head. But thanks in advance for any help.

Can you post a URL of the page that's a problem? It would really help us to
look at the HTML. Chances are, there's just some font color or style that's
been applied incorrectly to some of the text in the links, rendering them as
the same color as the background instead of something more contrasting.

I've recently had the same problem with Frontpage 2002. For the 40th year
school reunion I posted a new section on my website with photos in a photo
box (and buttons to link the pages). Looked OK in my vier but when I
published to the web site all the photos buttons were red X's and I get the
message (or something to the effect) Windows cannot varify that the content
is safe. Some other people have had the same problem (others not). Is there
and Up-date I should not have added?

Mark - Thanks for your response. You addressed part of the problem - The
visited links were supposed to go orange, but they went gray instead, which
blended in with the soft green background. Don't know why they're the wrong
color, but my main concern turned out to be: why were they showing as being
visited when they hadn't been! Turns out that when I would preview the page
in my browser, it would make the hyperlink "visited," thus turn it gray! Also
applies to any external website I had linked to; if it was in my browsing
history, it came up as a visited link! So, I cleaned out my browsing history
files, and everything is hunky dory. Now if I could just get the visited
links to go orange instead of gray, I'd be golden!

Thanks again for your response - Cyd

Hi Cyd,
have you tried coding the orange directly?? the code for orange is FF6600 or
for just a little lighter try the code FF3300. both are orange but just a
little darker
than the other. or have you tried making your background just a little
darker???
there are thousands of color combinations that you could use, or maybe try a
button for your links.
