Invisible "8's"

All of the "8's" are invisible whether I type them, or
pull in an old file. All of the 8's calculate in the
formulas, but are always invisible. (FYI the 8's work in
Word.)

What do I need to do?

If the 8's are really in the cell, then is some kind of formatting making
them appear invisible. Check the conditional formatting for the cells.

Why don't you give us some examples? Does 789 appear 7 9? Tell us what's
really in the cell, and what appears.

What do I need to do?

Sounds like a font problem. Do they show up if you switch to a
different font?
