Invert Send and Receive

Trying to avoid error 503, I'd like to know whether there is any hidden
trick to invert the sequence Send&Receive to Receive&Send

Outlook is version 2003

If you go into the Properties of the account and then select More Settings
and then Outgoing Server you can specify that you log into the incoming mail
server first - is this what you were after!
