Inversion of numbers

I have a spreadsheet with about eight columns. Six contain numbers
about evenly divided between positive and negative numbers. How would
I change all the positive numbers to negative and the negative numbers
to positive?

Thanks for any help.
 
One way:

Enter -1 in an empty cell. Select your columns. Choose Edit/Paste
Special, selecting the Multiply and Values radio buttons. Click OK.

Isn't this sort of thing easier in Access?
