I have the same error, except I found little "workarounds", to me it happens
only if I am saving an excel file to a server (mapped drive), if I save
locally it doesn't happen, but if I use the "Save As" instead it would save
to the network.
All problems are with users using Windows 2000. I have not been able to find
any solution to this problem Microsoft sais: "This is a Windows 2000
character-mode Stop message. It indicates a problem with an owned mutex or an
unclean APC state", and the solution to remove any newly installed hardware
or use Last Known Good. I have not installed any hardware, these pc's have
been the same for a while (Almost a year now).
Any one any clues, other than upgradeing to Windows XP ?
