Unable to do search from IE's address bar.
Have cleared any/all adware, spyware, hijack entries,
have reinstalled etc. Have reset search defaults etc.
when a subject it typed, the information is given:
"arizona times"
http:///? arizona times <invalid syntax error>
How may I correct this problem?
You do not mention the version of Windows you are running, however, in view
of the above, it is still very possible you have a hijacker, malware,
spyware or parasites on your system that has not been fully removed or
cleaned that is causing this problem. You should do the following to be
sure none of these are present on your system. Some types of
malware/spyware can replicate itself over and over if not removed properly.

Be sure to run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot.
Also be sure to use the HijackThis. Please do not post your log to this
newsgroup, but to the SpywareInfo or the Aumha HiJackThis forums

evaluate your log and advise you of the necessary steps to clean your
system.

(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill

From Internet Explorer click on tools>internet options>advanced. Scroll down
to "search from the address bar" and check appropriate boxes. Another way is
to put the Google tool bar on I.E. Go to
www.google.com and click on
"services and tools" then click "google toolbar".
Also, check the Registry to see if this file is there. Sometime during
removal of hijackers or spyware files in the Registry can get corrupted or
removed as well. If not, try adding this line to this part of the registry.
(watch for the wrap, it should be all on one line)

Restrore Search:

This will restore your default Search functionality. You will, however,
have to restore any custom setups you may have had before.
Download the fix - Reset Search:

This will restore your default Search functionality. However, if you had
any custom adjustments you have made will have to re-select them.
If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.
