Invalid Shortcuts wont delete!

I'm running a Windows XP Proffesional, AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core
Processor 3800+.
I tried to create a shortcut, but I did it just as soon as a game was
installed - it didnt happenf ro a second, then three shortcuts came up. I
tried to delete all three, and it said that the shortcuts were invalid.
The shortcut area is grayed out so I cannot put a source path in.
How can I fix this?

try deleting in CMD or download software to delete on boot (like
'moveonboot')
