invalid html

I'm trying to develop a link to download software that I've created for my
web site . I keep getting error messages of invalid html when using the quick
tag , web site or file does not exist, or no embedded script. These messages
are appearing when trying to link the user interface on web page with the
file for the software so customers can download it. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
 
Import the file into your web, and then create a standard link just like a link to any
other file.
