Invalid Argument

I have created a database to raise purchase orders, I have been usign it
since Jan 2007, recently when you use the find control in the form to find a
purchase order number (this is an autonumber and primary key) you get the
message "invalid argument" As far as i am aware no changes have been made to
the database other than new products being added. I went to look at the
'order' table and can only view it in design view and not the data sheet
view. I am also getting the same message when running some reports. Please
can someone explain why it is doing this?

At times like this, nothing beats a good backup. In fact make a complete
backup of your database now and put it away for safe keeping.

You may have a corrupt database.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:
