Invalid Argument

All: Please advise. Each time I attempt to create a
new "make table" from a query I recieve an invalid
argument. I'm even recieving this error when I attempt to
import from an excel file.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think I might understand your issue, but maybe I don't.
If you are trying to get an excel spreadsheet into Access,
you actually don't use the "import" function. (I just
dealt with this problem last week myself!). You use
something called "paste append". First set up a blank
table with the proper parameters that match the excel file
you will copy over. Then highlight the info in excel you
want to bring into Access, and "copy". Go to access, and
open the table you set up (not in design view). Highlight
the first blank row of information in the access table,
and click Edit: Paste Append. That should bring the info
over for you.
Sorry if that's not the info you wanted.
