Invalid Argument when linking ODBC tables

Johnny

I am getting an error: "Invalid Argument" when linking
ODBC tables in Access 2000 after installing Windows SP4.
The same ODBC connection was working before for linking
tables and all databases that have been created and linked
through the same ODBC connection from before the SP4
install are working correctly; it appears to be just new
links. I have SR1 and all updates for Office 2000. Any
ideas are greatly appreciated.

Hi

I am getting exactly the same problem as you describe below and was
wondering if you or anyone has found a solution.

Previously linked odbc tables work fine but can't link to new odbc sources

I too am getting "Invalid Argument" errors.

I can successfully read odbc source using MS Query it just seems to be an
Access problem.

I get the same error in Access 2000 SP3 & Access 2002 SP2.

I too have Windows 2000 SP4

Thanks in advance

John
