Hello,

For an unexpected raison, when I execute Internet shortcuts, they open a
window print instead of the Internet link created by the Internet shortcut.
I verify the extensions and the programs related to them and everything are
all rights.
Could you tell me how to repair that or where could I find the information
in the registry base ?
Thanks for your support,
Job

Run the URL Fix.

If that doesn't work then open Registry Editor and delete these keys-
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.url"
and
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut"

then run the URL Fix again.

Good Luck, Ayush.

Thank you for your answer but unfortunatelly it still doesn't run.
PC is used by two users and one has the problem but the other not.
As your solution is based on the "global registry", the problem is focused
only for one user. Could you tell me where can i find the place in the
registry which causes this situation ?
Thank you for help

If the problem is seen only in a particular user account, it might be due to incorrect registry permissions. Perhaps the subject user account don't have read access to the registry keys (listed in the REG file).

Thank you for your quick answer. It wouldn't be a access problem because the
affected user has full admin rights to this PC. Do you think about other
aspect ?

Hi Job,

Perhaps you may investigate this problem using the RegMon utility. Look for any Access Denied (or ACC DENIED) entries. Even though the user has admin rights, incorrect permissions can cause such problems. Apart from that I don't have any clues. I'll see if I can resolve this, if you can send me a RA ticket.
