Internet Security Software that is compatable to XP

I recently upgraded Window 98 to XP Professional.

I had previously just installed Norton Internet Security
2003. After the upgrade this program made my computer to
continuously reboot.

I read the various methods to correct this from Norton
and Windows. I uninstalled Norton and deleted all files
the were mentioned and tried to reinstall. I still had
the same problem. I also tried just installing the anti
virus portion and this did not work either.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?? Or do I need
to purchase different software for XP Professional?
 
No Norton works well with XP if it is installed as a new product.
Unfortunately as you have discovered and has also happened to me: updates,
uninstalls etc do not go so well. I had hoped Norton had sorted this out but
apparently not. Give Norton a support call and tell them what is happening,
they may be able to tell you some registry fixes to sort it out.
