Hey there,
Lately i was told that internet properties is merely a bunch of shortcut files to the real thing which its hard to find. By internet properties i mean cache and cookies ect...

Is it true that just simply deleting them from 'Control Panel- internet properties', is not enough?

If so, what should i do to ensure no memory is being taken up by uneeded inertnet files on my system

Thxs

I would have thought removing them with Internet Properties would be enough. In XP they are usually stored in the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\[logon name]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

If you really want to get rid of them, then use an application like CCleaner (ccleaner.com). They don't take up very much space though (usually), and clearing your cache too often will just mean sites load a little slower initially and get cached again. :)
