Internet options has no General tab

i dont know what happened, but some how my home page was
changed away from google.com i tried everything i could
think of, including removing and reinstalling internet
explorer.

i reset the internet options and now my homepage is
vaio.com i would like to return it to its home at
google.com i have installed all critical updates and the
problem still exists.

im running windows XP home. any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Start-Run-Regedit

There could be more than one "GeneralTab" value.
Try these keys first and then search for GeneralTab (no space)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

Remove "GeneralTab" if present.
