Hi

I have recently set up a home networking using windows xp. I have no
problems sharing files or printers on the network, even network games work no
problems.

The problem is that i can't connect to the internet from any other machines
accept the main machine that is plugged into the modem.

Please advise.

Have you turned on Internet Connection Sharing on the machine with the modem
attached? Do that and your problems should be solved.

Paul,

Are you running ICS, or a proxy server, on the main computer?

Here are a few websites with useful tutorials:
http://www.cablesense.com/
http://www.homenethelp.com/
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/
http://www.wown.com/

If the tutorials don't help, provide ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, make sure that Format - Word Wrap is
NOT checked!, copy and paste entire contents into your next post. Identify
operating system (by name, version, and SP level) with each ipconfig listing.
