internet images not displaying properly

Ok, I know there is a solution to this, but I don't know how to fix it.
My computer recently got spyware when I was searching a site, and I
removed it from my computer and ran antivirus software to check if I
also got a virus. Whenever I open firefox or internet explorer, some
images do not want to display properly. Website headers do not appear
or they are incomplete, and the images of the logos appear as an empty
box with a broken page or red x on the top left with the text of the
link. What do I have to do to correct this problem?

Try this as a fix:

Start | Run and type

regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll

and press OK.

Notice all spaces in the typing!

didn't work. I got a dialog box saying, "mshtml.dll was loaded, but the
DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be
registered."
