internet home page selection

When I atttempt to change the default home page from msn.com to espn.com I
always get msn.com (I can't seem to change the home page url on start up)

Do you have some sort of third-party security software that is
protecting your homepage? Spybot Search & Destroy has this capability,
so do quite a few other programs. Look and see what you have installed.
