Hi, and sorry if this may have been covered before, I'm new to the site and
relatively new to windows XP, my problemis that the cache does not seem to be
doing anything on my user account in XP - if I log in under another family
member IE caches perfect, but not on mine - Have checked settings, all are
same as othershave reduced temp int files to 150Mb, IE T.I.F is empty apart
from cookies and index.dat, if I try 'Disk Cleanup' it reports 0KB of temp
int files... help!

Check your settings at IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Security>Empty TIF
folder when browser is closed (uncheck if checked)

Empty TIF and set it to 50 MB.

Have tried instructions of setting cache size and also deleted entire
contents of TIF folder while IE was closed, the problem is still there after
browsing a few web sites TIF contains a few cookies and 0mb temp internet
files. Any further tips on getting this cache to work, its reloading pages
every time, many thanks for the help so far, this one has me tearing my hair
out!

Kevin,

I had a similar problem which I originally posted about on 01-10-05
(subject: cache problems). Nothing I tried worked until I installed Cache
Sentry. Now everything is back to normal. Maybe worth a try for you. See my
post from 01-19 (Cache Sentry) for the download link,
