When I try to open a pdf file I receive this
error: "Microsoft Internet explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to close. error signature - AppName:
iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: pdf.ocx
ModVer: 6.0.1.1091&#0"

What's the problem?

The best place to find answers to these kind of questions would be the
Microsoft Knowledge Base.

I did a search there with the keywords "IE 6 error signatures" but could
not find anything which talks about opening error opening PDF files, but
found some articles which talks about similar error messages (Iexplore.exe
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience).
