Internet Explorer

Steven

I have 3 users on my Windows Xp home computer.

Myself (Administrator), my son and daughter all have sperate user
ID's.

The problem I am having is with my daughters account.

When she tries to launch Internet Explorer, the application takes
forever to start up and when it does eventually try to load it seems
to hang up.

I am then forced into killing the application using Task Manager.

Mine and my sons Internet Explorer loads OK it just my daughters that
doesnt launch.

She can access MSN and Yahoo messenger OK.

We are using NTL dial up connection and I have went in and had a look
at her settings and they seem the same as mine.

Can anyone give me any pointers to fix this problem.

Dear Sir

Login with your account and delete the profile folder of your daughter
you'll find it under the following pat
C:\Documents and Settings\(your daughter's login name
Logout and login using her account again and the folder will be regenerated with a clean start :-
Enjoy

I have a requirement to limit the ability to Launch IE. In other words, my client would like to have the facility that forces a user to enter an account name and password in order to run IE

The quick and dirty so far was to create a dummy account and apply NTFS perms to IE for this dummy account

Any ideas

RG
