Internet Explorer will not stay connected to Internet

I have been trying to fix this issue all day. I am having
trouble connecting to the Internet through Explorer 6.0.
When I reset the cable motem, I am able to reach a page or
two before the browser losses contact with the Internet.
I have changed the motem and the network card. It seems
to be a software problem. Can anyone help me with this
problem.

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
