Internet Explorer keeps performing errors and locks up
and wants to shut down on a regular basis. The solution:
MOZILLA FIREBIRD browser!! It's great and never locks up
and there are NO POP UP ADS!!!! You can download it for
free from CNET.com. So dumpe IE into the Recycle Bin that
microsoft so generously provides you with on your desktop
and download MOZILLA FIREBIRD.

That is just your opinion - some of us are happy with IE
and have no problem with it!

Your post is not completely correct.

Yes, Mozilla browser and it's subset Firebird, is good. Better to
download from source at www.mozilla.org. Tabbed browsing is terrific,
and it has an effective popup eliminator.

However, that does not justify deleting or berating Internet Explorer.
Like IE, Mozilla has a minor problems.

Do not dump IE. Not only is it impossible to delete, you will need it
to continue make XP functional.

Millions of people use IE. Millions use Mozilla. Some even use both.

Sounds like you have spyware and homepage hijackers on your computer.
Classic symptoms of constant IE crashes. You would not believe how many
computers I fix that has IE crashing all the time and it turns out to be all
kinds of spyware/adware/malware. Once its gone IE works fine. If I were you
I would get rid of that spyware you most likely have.
Sounds like spyware. Run these tools:
spybot -- http://www.safer-networking.org/
ad-aware -- http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
