internet explorer script error

When I try to access the options folder of my Mcafee Virus Protection Program, I get a pop up stating:

Internet Expolrer Script Error
Line 931
Char:5
Error: the data area passed to a system call is too small
Code:0
URL: mcp://c:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\vso\vsoui.dll::mgavprop.htm

Can anyone tell me what I can do to eliminate this problem?

I forgot to mention I am using Windows XP and have already gone thru the suggested steps:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 3. In the Internet Options
dialog box, click Advanced.
4. Click to select the Disable script debugging check box. (t's already checked)
5. Click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check (It's already unchecked.)
box.
6. Click OK.
