Internet explorer quits when selecting 'Save Picture As'

Hi all..

Quite a strange one. I have all updates up to but not including SP2 and have
this specific problem.

When selecting a jpeg, right clicking and selecting 'Save picture as' IE
returns the 'save' as dialog but after a period of time, of up to say 5
second, explorer will just quit.

If I go up one link and select the thumbnail that links to the picture I can
use 'Save target as' without problem.

I don't get any error logging in xp, I don't get any explorer dialog box
saying that IE needs to close.

I have zone alarm, ad aware and norton AV and everything throws up a blank.


Version is 6.0.2800


Is there any kind of SFC.exe type thing for internet explorer just to make
sure that none of the files are corrupt?



Any help would be very much appreciated.

Try deleting the temp internet files.
