Internet Explorer Problems

If I use internet explorer I always get "the page cannot be displayed" error. If I enter the url from the run menu it works! I have the latest patches and run virus check and there are no problems. I'm using xp home and my virus defenitions are up to date. Everything else on my computer works great. I have also check for spyware using spy sweeper. Any suggestions? TIA.

This is a strange one, as it works when you type the URL in from the Run
command, mmm best I could suggest is running down the list in the following
KB articles to ensure that everything is ok, however if it works from the
run command, you have other issues.
