In my tools menu there are 2 links that have appeared from
i do not where. They are just above the Internet Options
menu. I have been trying to delete these links, one which
is unfortunately pornographic while another is an IQ
weblink. Obviously these are unacceptable and need to be
permanently deleted.

Can anyone please tell me how to get rid of these. I would
appreciate any help
Regards,
Sam

You will have to edit the registry to get rid of that entry in IE's Tools
menu. It will be under the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

Before you edit the registry, make sure you understand how to restore it if
a problem occurs. For information about how to do this, view the "Restoring
the Registry" Help topic in Regedit.exe or the "Restoring a Registry Key"
Help topic in Regedt32.exe.

If they keep coming back, then you have malware on your system:

Usually they're placed there by spyware/malware that's gotten installed on
your system. Use Ad-Aware and/or Spybot Search & Destroy to remove it.

Spybot: http://security.kolla.de/

Use Regedit.exe and remove the item. It should be under here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

Write down the name of the links. Click Start->Run and
type in "regedit" no quotes.
Click Registry->Export Registry File
Make sure "all" is selected.
Save it as a filename you wont forget, in a place you wont
forget.
*Highlight My Computer in regedit.
*Click Edit->Find
*Make sure Keys, values, and data are selected
*Type in the Find what: box the first name you want to
remove.
*Click Find Next This may take some time.
*Delete what it Finds.
**Press F3 This may take some time again.
**Delete what it finds.
*Repeat steps marked ** until a box comes up
saying "Finished searching through the registry".
Repeat steps marked * and ** until all are deleted.
Restart your computer.
Try Internet Explorer now. Hopefully they will be gone.
Any problems with your system resulting from this? If so
undo the changes you made by double clicking the file you
saved earlier.
No problems, and it worked? Save the file you created in
this process to be sure. I'd keep it at least 2 weeks.
Longer if you wish.
