Internet explorer (problem with favorites list)

I have a file in my favorites list named "my favorites" that appeared after i lets others use my computer and i cant remove or delete it. it displays a tool bar in the window with a search the web option and links to other sites. also it reset my home page to the one in the file but it doesnt open ive tried everything i can but everytime i delete the file it comes back when i open internet explorer. is there a way for me to maybe reinstall internet explorer. any ideas?

Right click the IE icon | Properties | Advanced tab |
Make sure both of these are NOT checked.

i unchecked the boxes and installed spy sweeper and it fixed the problems thanks for the help.
