Internet Explorer lost address bar

The address bar recently disappeared rom my start page when I launch
internet explorer. Concurrently, I am unable to connect to any link
provided in any incoming e-mail. Would appreciate any suggestions for a
solution.

Rightclick open area on the toolbar, right above where the address bar
should be, and check "Address Bar".
